This is a Large Walnut Lounge Chair, Model WWZ, designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb Furniture circa 1955. The elegant design features a frame of solid walnut (seemingly bleached walnut), and the piece has been freshly reupholstered in an off-white fabric from Knoll Textiles. It has a slatted back and has pronounced angular arms and legs.
The chair measures 32.5 inches deep, 26.5 inches wide, and 32.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 17 inches. There is some darkening of the wood’s clear finish, especially on the arms. Overall, this chair is in very good vintage condition with newly redone cushions. Please see photos.
