1960s Knoll Saarinen Executive Chair, Model 71A by Eero Saarinen for Knoll Steel, Fabric, Foam, Plastic Supply

This is a Saarinen Executive Desk Chair, Model 71A, originally designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1950. This example dates to the 1960s. It features legs of polished tubular stainless steel, and has an upholstered seat and back. This piece retains its original yellow hopsack fabric upholstery.

The 71A measures 24.25 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. It has an 18 inch seat height, and a 25 inch arm height. The upholstery on this is original and shows some wear, though is in relatively good condition. The foam is a little spongy crunchy, and there are a few marks on the fabric. The tops of arms show fading and signs of use. The base has a few errant scratches, but presents nicely. Overall, this chair is in good condition with some wear. Please see photos.
